Good afternoon Emerald Heights Families,
We’ve had a wonderful second full week of school! It’s exciting to see students settling into routines, building friendships, and showing courage as we begin the year together. Here are a few quick updates.
Backpack 4 Kids
Central Kitsap Food Backpack 4 Kids (CKFBP4K) provides weekend food support for families in need of food assistance/support. If your family is in need of food support, please fill out the form below. Backpacks will be sent home on Thursdays or Fridays beginning October 9th. If you have multiple children, the oldest will bring the bag home. Families with children at more than one school should register at only one location.If more families apply than bags available, we’ll create a waitlist.

Our Watch DOGS Night is Thursday, September 25th from 6:00-7:00. Please return the green form by September 24th so we know how much pizza to order. We’re excited to welcome dads, grandpas, and father figures into our school this year!When Is Your Child Too Sick for School?
Strong attendance is key to school success. Students who miss fewer than 10% of days do better academically. Please review the guidelines linked below for help in deciding when your child is too sick to attend.Signs in Cars

We’ve had several toy keychains and “la boo boos” taken from backpacks. While we are working on determining what is happening and doing our best to return items, please don’t send anything to school that would be heartbreaking to lose or distracting during the day.Free & Reduced Lunch Form
Free breakfast and lunch are available this year. To help continue this program, families still need to complete the Free and Reduced Lunch Form annually. Thank you!Spirit Wear
