Good evening EM Families! Here are some important updates as we head into the long weekend.

💚 Emerald Heights Fundraiser Update – 10/10! 💚

Hawks families, you are doing an incredible job! We’ve now raised $8,191 toward our $30,000 goal — that’s more than a quarter of the way there! 🎉

Every dollar helps fund classroom technology, field trips, art supplies, and playground improvements — all directly benefiting our students. Thank you for helping make a difference! To help you spread the word, we've added a suggested social media post below.

🏆 Class Leaderboard Update:
1️⃣ Repass – $1,192
2️⃣ Fields – $1,067
3️⃣ Bonsell – $737.50
4️⃣ Roberts – $685
5️⃣ Blai – $650
6️⃣ Edde – $510

👏 Keep those donations coming in and don’t forget to share your student’s link with friends and family — every share helps us soar closer to our goal! The fundraiser runs through October 17, so there’s still plenty of time to help your class climb the leaderboard.

Ways to Give:
💻 Donate online: https://bit.ly/empta2025
💵 Drop off cash/checks (made payable to Emerald Heights PTA) in the PTA mailbox at school.

📣 Suggested Social Media Post (for parents to share):

Hey friends and family! 💚

Our school, Emerald Heights, has already raised over $8,000 in our Fall Fundraiser! 🎉 We’re working toward a $30,000 goal to fund classroom technology, field trips, art supplies, and playground improvements for our students.

If you’d like to help, you can:
💻 Donate online at https://bit.ly/empta2025
💵 Or drop off cash/checks (made out to “Emerald Heights PTA”) at the school.

👉 Be sure to include my student’s name so their class gets credit!
The fundraiser runs through October 17, and the kids love seeing their class move up the leaderboard each day! 🏆

Thank you for supporting our amazing school and showing your Hawk pride! 💚

📅 No School Monday

Just a reminder — there is no school on Monday 10/13. Enjoy the long weekend!

📝 Impact Aid

Each year, Central Kitsap School District applies for federal Impact Aid funding. These funds help compensate CKSD for the loss of local tax dollars from tax-exempt federal property.
The results of our Impact Aid survey support our request for these funds, and completing it is critical to maintaining resources for our students.
Please complete this form as soon as possible by logging into the PowerSchool Parent Portal to access the online forms for your students.

🍽️ Free & Reduced Lunch Form

We’re very fortunate to have free breakfast and lunch for all students this year. To help us continue this program in the future, families still need to complete the Free and Reduced Lunch Form each year.

Thank you for taking a few moments to submit this important form!

🧥 Coats for Recess

Please be sure your child comes to school with a coat for recess, even on days with light rain. We go outside for recess in most weather conditions, and we want all students to stay warm and dry. Please let us know if you need support with clothing or a coat for your child.

🚗 Student Pick-Up Lines

For Grades 2–5, please pull forward in the right lane if your child is not yet at the pick-up spot so we can keep traffic moving.
Once your child is in the car, you may pull away to the left and carefully drive around cars that are still waiting for their students.
Unlike on the K–1 side, you do not need to wait in the right lane once your student is safely in the car.
Thank you for helping us keep dismissal safe and efficient!

That's all for now. Have a great weekend. Take care!
