Good afternoon Emerald Heights Families,
We are busy here at Emerald Heights. We had a wonderful multi-lingual family night this past week, and our fundraiser is coming to a close. Students are learning and working hard. This month we are focusing on the character trait cooperation. Each day I read notes given to me from students sharing what cooperation looks like here at school. They have such great insights to share and, I am proud of them.
Here are some updates and reminders as we head into next week:
Fundraiser
**🎉 Last Day of the Fundraiser!**
Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we've raised over $24,000—70% of our goal! If you haven’t had a chance to donate or share yet, we’re accepting donations through the weekend!
Check out our fundraiser page:
**🏆 Pizza Party Showdown:**
- **Team Kim:** $3,786.29 raised (currently in the lead!)
- **Team Repass:** $2,953.56 raised
**🔥 Close Behind:** Team Fleck, Fields, Coombe, Sabari, Merle, Tracewell, and Rice—Team Fleck is just $390 away from 2nd place! Who will take home the pizza party?
Thanks to our anonymous sponsor, every student received stickers today, our level one prize! We’ll share the final totals and prize details next week.
For any questions, reach out to the PTA at [email protected]. Thank you for your incredible support—your contributions make all of this possible!
Technology- Phones/Watches/Ipods
Just a reminder that cell phones are to be stored in students backpacks during school. The same is true for SMART watches and ipods. These types of technologies are a huge distraction here at school and get in the way of schoolwork. They also cannot be out during any assessments. Students can always call parents from our office phone, and our office can relay a message to students anytime during the day. Just call us at 360-662-8500. Students may take their phones, watches, and ipods out at the end of the day. We encourage you to have your child leave these items at home whenever possible.
Student Drop off and Pick up
We need your help. We need everyone's help to keep our student drop off and pick up safe. This is especially true when turning at our flagpole where we also have student crossing. We ask that you please be sure to use your blinker, drive slowly, and refrain from cutting corners. Thank you for your help with this.
No School Monday
Just a reminder that we have no school on Monday 10/14 for Indigenous People's Day. School will resume on Tuesday 10/15.
I wish you all a wonderful weekend. Stay safe and take care!
