💚 Principal News – October 24, 2025
Dear Emerald Heights Families,
Thank you to all of our families who came in for conferences this week! We appreciate the time you took to meet with teachers to celebrate your child’s progress, discuss goals, and partner with us in supporting your child's growth. Your involvement truly makes a difference — we value this partnership deeply.
We also have several exciting events coming up next week:
🎃 Kindergarten Pumpkin Night – Tuesday, October 28 from 6:00-7:00pm
Kindergarten families, join us for an evening of pumpkin carving fun! Check your child’s classroom communication for event details.
📸 Picture Retakes – Tuesday, October 28
Students who missed picture day or need a retake will be photographed during the school day. Please send the original photo package back if doing a retake.
🎶 5th Grade “Spooktacular Extravaganza” Music Performance – Wednesday, October 29 6:00PM
Our 5th graders are ready to light up the stage with a spirited, glow-in-the-dark performance! Students arrive at 5:30 PM; the show begins at 6:00 PM.
📝 Impact Aid
Each year, Central Kitsap School District applies for federal Impact Aid funding. These funds help compensate CKSD for the loss of local tax dollars from tax-exempt federal property.
The results of our Impact Aid survey support our request for these funds, and completing it is critical to maintaining resources for our students.
Please complete this form as soon as possible by logging into the PowerSchool Parent Portal to access the online forms for your students.

🍽️ Free & Reduced Lunch Form
We’re very fortunate to have free breakfast and lunch for all students this year. To help us continue this program in the future, families still need to complete the Free and Reduced Lunch Form each year.
Thank you for taking a few moments to submit this important form! Free and Reduced Lunch Form
