Good afternoon, Emerald Heights families,

We have just one more week of school until our winter break (reminder: break will be 12/22/25–1/2/26), and it’s hard to believe we’re already heading into the last week of 2025. Students have been working hard, both with academics and special projects, and we’re excited to wrap up the year with some fun events and celebrations. We also want to give a special shoutout to our choir for their great performances this week — they've represented Emerald Heights beautifully!

Here are a few important updates and reminders for the week ahead:

✉️ Holiday Grams – December 15th–17th

Holiday Grams will be on sale Monday–Wednesday next week, the 15th–17th.

• Students can purchase these for 25 cents each or 4 for a dollar
  They’re a fun way for students to send a kind note to friends or staff as we head into the break.

🎄 Holiday Flare Spirit Day – Thursday 12/18

On Thursday 12/18, students are invited to wear their favorite holiday “flare” – sweaters, festive colors, hats, and accessories are all welcome (school-appropriate, of course). Let’s fill the halls with holiday cheer!

🥫 Food Drive – Now Through Monday

Our food drive runs until Monday 12/15. Thank you to everyone who has already donated. If it’s within your means, please consider sending in non-perishable items to support families in our community.

🌍 Fleck & Rice Heritage Project Event – Wednesday 12/17

Families of students in Fleck and Rice’s classes are invited to a special Heritage Project event on Wednesday 12/17 from 5:30–6:30 p.m.
Students have been working hard on these projects, and we’re excited for them to share and celebrate their identities, cultures, and family stories.

🍔 Camp Colman Fundraiser – McDonald’s Coupon Books

Today kicks off the first day of our fundraiser for Camp Colman with McDonald’s Coupon Books!

• These will be on sale through January 13th
• They make great stocking stuffers and help support our 5th graders’ camp experience.

Dance Exercise Club – Tuesdays Starting January 13th
We’re excited to offer a Dance Exercise Club opportunity for students in grades K–5.

• Every Tuesday starting January 13th thru March 3rd
• Held in the gym
• Advisor: Mrs. Rider
