It has been a really great first week back! Students have settled quickly into routines and learning, and it’s been wonderful to see them re-engaged in their work. This is such an important time of year where we see a lot academic growth from students, and daily attendance truly matters. Being at school every day and arriving on time helps students access the full learning experience and sets them up for success—thank you for your partnership in making that a priority.

This month, we are also focusing on leadership as our character trait, and students are practicing what it means to lead through responsibility, respect, and safe, positive choices.

🚗 Pick-Up Reminder
A quick reminder to please place your pick-up sign in your car during at student pick up. Having signs clearly visible helps our staff move traffic along efficiently and keeps the flow smooth and safe for everyone. If you need a replacement sign, please let the office or your child’s teacher know—we can provide a new one. Thank you!

Venture Choice Transfers
Our Choice Transfer application for the 2026–2027 school year is now open. Families with students enrolled in the Venture Program whose resident school district is Central Kitap do not need to complete this form. However, if you have additional children who attend and are not enrolled in the Venture Program, a separate Choice Transfer application must be completed for those students.

*If you are a “Non-Resident”, meaning you live outside of the Central School District, you do  need to complete the application.

PTA Updates & Upcoming Events

🍟 McTakeover Night – Fifth Grade Camp Fundraiser
We have currently sold over 100 coupon books and have raised over $500 for 5th Grade Camp thus far. Thank You so much for your support for our 5th Graders and for our Emerald Heights community. 

McDonalds Coupon Books are being sold ($5 purchase for $35 value in coupons) at the school from NOW until January 13th. Order forms are available by the front office. If interested, please fill out the order form, attach a cash payment and place them in the PTA mailbox. 

January 14th from 5-7p.m is the official Mctakeover Day. 
This will be a sole fifth grade camp fundraising event night and coupon books will be sold on site that day as well.

📚 BINGO & BOOKS Night
January 15 | 6:00–7:00 PM
Join us for bingo, popcorn, and a free book prize for each bingo winner!

We would love to see you all there!

Thank you all so much for your book donations for this event. Your support has also allowed us to take any leftover books and create a LENDING LIBRARY to be placed in the school's courtyard for use by the Emerald Heights community and general public. 
We are very excited about this opportunity and will provide further updates while this project is in process.

🎨 ART WALK
  • Our Art Walk will take place Thursday, February 5
    If you have ideas or items to donate for the silent auction, please email ckempta@gmail.com.
The Art Walk committee is also seeking volunteers:
  • 2 volunteers for entrance/passports
  • 4 volunteers for parking direction
  • 2 volunteers for prize distribution
  • 2 volunteers for the silent auction

🍔 RED ROBIN FUNDRAISER
Every Thursday (excluding holidays), Red Robin in Silverdale donates 20% of food sales back to Emerald Heights PTA when you mention our fundraiser.

🕒 All day during regular restaurant hours
Dine-In:
Show the fundraiser flyer or mention “Emerald Heights PTA Fundraiser.”
To-Go Orders:

  3. Add the fundraiser item to your bag and complete your order
