A dark green hawk illustration flies to the left of the text 'EMERALD HEIGHTS Hawks' Updates'.Good afternoon Emerald Heights Families,

Well, we got a little surprise visit from the snow today! The kids certainly enjoyed the puffy flakes, and let's be honest… so did the adults. 🙂 As we look ahead to next week, here are a few important updates and reminders.

📅 Conference Week Reminder

Next week is a short school week. There will be no school Thursday and Friday to allow time for parent-teacher conferences.
If you have not yet scheduled a conference, please check your child’s teacher’s ParentSquare for available sign-up times. Conferences are an important opportunity to connect about your child’s progress and growth.

🏕️ 5th Grade Camp Next Week!

We are excited for our 5th graders as they head to camp next week! Below is one important reminder for departure morning:
If you are dropping off student bags, please plan to arrive by 8:20 AM and no later than 8:40 AM. After 8:40, you will need to come to the front of the building since buses will be accessing the back of the school.

To help things run smoothly, please plan for a quick drop-off so we can keep the line moving and allow space for buses to enter. Thank you for helping us make departure morning run safely and efficiently.

Staff Appreciation Week – PTA Hero Support Squad

Our incredible PTA does so much to support our staff and students, and they are already hard at work planning Staff Appreciation Week in May. If you are interested in helping, please see their message below:

Attention Hero Support Squad

Staff Appreciation Week is May 4–8, and the PTA is assembling an epic week to celebrate the incredible superhero staff of EM!
Our staff members use their unique superpowers every day to inspire, teach, guide, and support our students. Now it’s our turn to show them just how super they are!

If you'd like to join the hero support squad to help plan or volunteer during the week, please email emptavolunteers@gmail.com.

Your support is mission critical to make this a celebration worthy of our amazing staff!
No time to volunteer? Keep an eye out for another memo next month with more ways you can contribute and show your appreciation!
**Thank you!!**

That's all for this week. Have a great weekend. Take care!
