Good afternoon Emerald Heights Families,

We wrapped up SBA testing this week, and our students did a fantastic job! Across the building, students have been working hard to finish end-of-year assessments, continue learning, and show the perseverance and respect that make us proud to be Hawks. As we head into the final weeks of school, there is a lot of excitement in the air and many special events ahead.

🎨 Square 1 Art
You should have received information about your child's Square 1 Art project by now. This fundraiser helps support classroom supplies while also providing families with a unique way to preserve memories of their child's artwork and elementary school experience. The products are wonderful keepsakes and make great gifts. Orders are due June 5th.

👕 Lost & Found
Our Lost & Found collection continues to grow! Please encourage your child to check for any missing items, and families are welcome to stop by and take a look as well. Any unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the school year.

🤝 PTA Meeting – June 1
Our final PTA meeting of the year will be held on Monday, June 1st at 4:15 PM. We would love to see you there! PTA plays an important role in supporting students, staff, and school events, and we welcome all families to attend.

🎭 Talent Show – June 9
Our annual Talent Show will take place on June 9th. Students will perform during the school day and again at 6:00 PM for families. We are excited to celebrate the many talents of our Emerald Heights students.

🎓 Kindergarten Graduation – June 17
We are excited to celebrate our kindergarten students and all they have learned this year! Kindergarten Graduation will take place on June 17th. We look forward to recognizing this important milestone and celebrating our youngest Hawks.

🎓 5th Grade Promotion – June 17
We are excited to celebrate our 5th grade students as they prepare for middle school. Promotion will take place at 9:45 AM. We are proud of all they have accomplished during their time at Emerald Heights.

🏃 Field Day – June 12
Field Day is one of our favorite traditions! Students should wear comfortable clothing, and be ready for a fun day of teamwork, activity, and school spirit. If you're interested in volunteering, fill out this form: Field Day Volunteer Form 

📅 Last Day of School – June 18
The last day of school is Thursday, June 18th. This will be a half-day, with student dismissal at 11:45 AM.

⭐ Character Trait of the Month: Sportsmanship
Our June character trait is sportsmanship. Sportsmanship is about showing respect, encouraging others, demonstrating kindness in both success and disappointment, and doing our best while helping others do their best too. A special shout out to our 3rd grade students for leading today's sportsmanship assembly and helping kick off our June character trait!
