Principal News 6/12/26

Good afternoon, Emerald Heights Families,What a wonderful Field Day experience we had today! Thank you to all of the volunteers and staff who helped make the day such a success. The kids—and adults!—had so much fun. Students got a little wet, but it turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day and a perfect way to celebrate the end of the school year together.

As we head into our final week of school, here are a few important reminders and updates:

📅 Last Day of School

The last day of school is Thursday, June 18. This will be a half-day, with student dismissal at 11:45 a.m. No lunch will be served that day.

🎓 Kindergarten Graduation – June 17

We are excited to celebrate our kindergarten students and all they have learned this year! Kindergarten Graduation will take place on June 17. We look forward to recognizing this important milestone and celebrating our youngest Hawks.

🎓 5th Grade Promotion – June 17

We are excited to celebrate our 5th grade students as they prepare for middle school. Promotion will take place at 9:45 a.m. We are proud of all they have accomplished during their time at Emerald Heights and wish them continued success in the years ahead. We look ​forward to seeing you there.

👕 Used Spirit Wear Donation Drive

Has your child outgrown their Emerald Heights spirit wear? Are you moving, being transferred, cleaning out closets, or preparing for middle school?
We would love for every child to have the opportunity to wear Emerald Heights spirit wear. Please consider donating clean, gently used spirit wear items to our PTA. The PTA will collect, sort, and distribute donations to students who can benefit from them.

A collection box is located next to the Lost & Found in the front entrance, or items may be sent to school with your child.

🎨 Square 1 Art

You should have received information about your child's Square 1 Art project. This fundraiser supports classroom supplies while also providing families with a unique way to preserve memories of their child's artwork and elementary school experience.
The products make wonderful keepsakes and thoughtful gifts. The ordering deadline is today, June 12.

👕 Lost & Found

Our Lost & Found collection continues to grow! Please encourage your child to check for any missing items, and families are welcome to stop by and take a look as well.  Any unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the school year.

📬 Looking Ahead

Please keep an eye on your email over the next week or two. I will send one final family update with important information and reminders to help families prepare for the start of the 2026–27 school year.
