Principal News 6/18/26
Good afternoon Emerald Heights Families,What a wonderful last day of school! The sun was shining, our students had the opportunity to socialize with their peers and play outside, and there was a joyful energy throughout campus. We signed T-shirts, yearbooks, and autograph books, shared memories, and wished one another well.
We ended our day with our final Hawk Assembly, celebrating our last Hawk trait of the year - good sportsmanship - and reflecting on all of the character traits we worked to develop throughout the year. We said goodbye to some students and staff members who will not be returning to Emerald Heights next year, and we said "see you later" to those we look forward to welcoming back in the fall.
We also took time to honor two retiring teachers, Joanne Zimny and Michelle Rider. We are deeply grateful for their years of dedication and service to students and families. They will be greatly missed, and we wish them all the best in retirement.
There was a celebratory feeling in the plaza at dismissal, with bubbles, signs, painted cars, and even a Minion and chicken costumes!
This has been a wonderful school year, and we are incredibly proud of our Hawks. Thank you to our students, staff, and families for making Emerald Heights such a special place to learn and grow. 📌 A Few Reminders as we head into summer break.

📅 Save the Date – Meet & Greet
We are excited to welcome families back for our annual Meet & Greet on Thursday, August 27, from 1:30–3:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity to drop off school supplies, meet your child's teacher, and see where your student's classroom will be for the upcoming school year.
🌞 Have a wonderful summer, and thank you for being part of the Emerald Heights community. We look forward to seeing many of you again in August.
To those families whose time at Emerald Heights comes to an end this year, thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. We have truly enjoyed having you at EM and hope you leave with many fond memories of your time here.
