Dear Emerald Heights Families,We are getting close! As we prepare to welcome our Hawks back to school, I know many families have one big question: Who is my child’s teacher?

Teacher Assignments – Available August 26

Teacher assignments will be available in PowerSchool on Wednesday, August 26 by the end of the day.
To access PowerSchool, visit our Emerald Heights website and scroll down to the PowerSchool tab. You’ll find information there to guide you through the process if you are not already familiar with PowerSchool.

If you need assistance accessing your child’s information, please call our office at 360-662-8500. We are happy to help.

Meet & Greet – Thursday, August 27 | 1:30–3:30 p.m.

We are excited to welcome families into the building for our Meet & Greet! This is a chance to:

• Meet your child’s teacher
• See their classroom
• Drop off school supplies
• Help your child feel a little more comfortable before the first day

You may stop by anytime between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. This is intended to be a brief visit to meet your child’s teacher, see the classroom, and drop off supplies. There is no need to arrive right at 1:30, and staggering arrival times throughout the two-hour window will help keep things moving smoothly.

Medications at School

If your student requires medication during the school day, please drop it off at the school office before the first day of school, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
A signed medication order must be provided before school staff can administer medication to your student.

Kindergarten Round-Up – Tuesday, August 25 | 1:00–2:30 p.m.

First Week of School

• August 31–September 2: Half days for grades K–5; dismissal at 11:45 a.m. No lunch will be served.
• September 3: Early release for grades 1–5; dismissal at 1:55 p.m. (No kindergarten.)
• September 4: Full day for grades 1–5; dismissal at 3:25 p.m. (No kindergarten.)

This gradual start gives students and staff extra time to build relationships, learn routines, and ease into the new school year.
Our staff is excited to be back together next week preparing for students, and we can’t wait to welcome our families on Thursday and our Hawks on August 31!
