Happy Friday, Emerald Heights Families! 💚

We had a great week at Emerald Heights, including our first schoolwide assembly of the year today!

💛 Kindness Kickoff

We kicked off our schoolwide focus on Kindness, and students had a chance to share what they believe kindness looks like at school. They had some wonderful ideas about helping others, using kind words, and showing that we care.

Kindness is also our first focus through PurposeFull People, our new CharacterStrong social-emotional curriculum. Throughout the year, students will build skills connected to three big ideas: Be Kind, Be Strong, and Be Well.

Families are an important part of this work, and CharacterStrong provides ideas for continuing these conversations at home.

🍦 Here’s the Scoop from PTA!

Our PTA classroom membership contest is in full swing, and Ms. Repass’s class is currently leading the pack with 10 memberships!

Every membership joined by parents, grandparents, or extended family adds a scoop to your child’s classroom cone on the Equity Wall, putting their class one step closer to an ice cream sundae party!

PTA membership is also a great way to support the activities and opportunities our PTA provides for Emerald Heights students and families.
