Principal News 12/6/24
Good afternoon Emerald Heights Families,
We had a wonderful week here at EM! 3rd grade took two field trips, one to the public library and one to see the Nutcracker. They made us very proud; We were told they had exceptional manners out in our community - go 3rd grade! Our kindergarteners and 1st graders entertained us with two holiday performances, one for our school during the day, and one in the evening for their families. Cuteness overload is all I can say in response to all the kinders and 1st grades singing and dancing on stage! Our 4th graders received hands-on environmental education - "Wheat Week" from the Franklin Conservation District. 1st graders sewed with their families in class. We celebrated our Hawk of the Month character trait winners of the month for November's character trait - Gratitude. And we got to wear comfy cozy pajamas for our ASB spirit day. Wow, what a week! And there's still more to come tonight. Here are some reminders as we head into the weekend:
Barnes and Noble Book Fair- Tonight!
Please, join us at Barnes and Noble for our book fair tonight! We will be there from 4:00-7:30pm. There will be teacher readers, voting on student artwork, and some surprises. Support our school library by joining us tonight! We can't wait to see you there!
Choir
Emerald Heights Choir will be participating in a holiday evening performance at Cottonwood Elementary on Thursday, December 12th at 6:00pm.
Kitsap Mall Performance
Come listen to our Emerald Heights choir next Friday, December 13th at 6:00pm.
Lost and Found
Two new videos have been posted on our Emerald Heights Parent Square showing you what we have in lost and found. We will be bagging and donating the week before winter break, so please come in soon and grab any items that belong to your child.
Two weeks until winter break. Stay warm and have a wonderful weekend.
Take care!
